 Thank you for your interest in Whispering Waters. In the past seven years we have hosted a wide range of gatherings- each with it's own unique needs.Whispering Waters Bed and Breakfast Retreat is located in the beautiful Boardman River valley. It is just seven miles from downtown Traverse City and it's peaceful surroundings include, river, spring fed stream, meadow, wetlands and hillside forest. There are trails for hiking, snowshoeing or cross country skiing. The river access allows for easy canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. Water and wildlife are abundant. Our main house offers three private bedrooms with options for both king or twin size beds in each room. There are also semi-private queen sized sleeper sofas for more intimate groups. A field stone fireplace and comfortable overstuffed leather furniture invite your to relax in the living room. The lower level of the house offers a workshop space capable of holding 10 to 20 participants. Just a step out the back door is a hot-tub next to a bubbling brook. The main house overlooks a pasture with two resident horses and the Boardman River beyond. Newly finished is the Spring House. It offers a lovely bedroom suite with bathroom, Jacuzzi tub room and sitting room overlooking the spring fed stream and wetlands beyond. A massage room, sauna and bath-changing room as well as a kitchenette for snacks and drinks complete the main floor. Upstairs is a large multi-purpose room with TV and VCR that can sleep up to six people semi-privately. There is also a bathroom suited for multi-person use. The cabin, located just steps from the river has a quaint interior with cherry floors, rough sawn cedar walls, lace curtains, a gas fireplace, a loft with either two twins or one king size bed beneath a pair of skylights. The cabin has it's own bathroom, screened in porch, and queen size sleeper sofa and will accommodate three people. During the summer and early fall months we also have a tipi nestled near the orchard and stream. Its circumference is twenty two feet and is the perfect place to gather in the evening around the fire. Whispering Waters is capable of sleeping eighteen people semi-privately. The cost is 70 dollars per person per night and includes breakfast. Lunch and dinner can be arranged for you as a group with costs comensurate with menu. If you are interested in using our facility for the day the cost is $100 for up to 10 people with a charge of $10/person additionally.
